First of all a candidate should find a reason to prepare for any competitive exam because it itself will be a motivation to clear the exam.

IITs and IISc conducts GATE exam. The candidates clearing gate exam have lot of opportunities as a result this exam is considered to be a prestigious exam in india.

  1. Gate mark is mandatory for joining PG courses in IITs and NITs and for other colleges a candidate should score respective cut off. As a result of gate score candidates are provided better job, high salary etc.




  2. PSU Public Sector Undertaking joins with IIT for hiring candidate through gate score. The candidate hired will have salary above 50,000 per month and get support to do MBA.




  3. Candidate can do PhD with  his/her Gate score. As a result will help the candidate to work in a research team abroad. They are even eligible for assistant professor job at IITs.




  4. FPM Fellowship Program in Management is for IIMs with time period of five years. As a result the students will get stipend of 29k – 30k with no tuition fee. For full details visit iim website.




  5. PG diploma in management provides courses like PG diploma in industrial engineering, manufacturing management and Project management. Therefore to join the above courses the candidates should get the cut off marks provided by NITIE National Institute of Industrial Engineering.




  6. University’s like Nanyang Technological University, National University Singapore etc. Allows indian students to do MS through GATE score. As a result these students don’t need to write GRE and TOEFL exam to study abroad.




  7. Electricity board from west Bengal, Punjab, Odisha hires candidate through gate score. Due to which candidates need to apply for this job in the respective electricity board website.




  8. Research centre like Bhabha Atomic Research Center BARC allot certain research positions for the candidates clearing GATE.





Candidates are asked to fix a target before applying for gate exam . Because this will help them in achieving the goal easy.
